Seacoast Rugby is a group of men, women, and youth promoting rugby in the Greater Seacoast area and beyond through exhibitions, games and community events.  The Club’s goals are to enrich the community with an exciting athletic program by welcoming people of all abilities and skill levels, to provide the benefits of a team sport to Seacoast area youths, and to make a difference within the Seacoast area through community outreach and volunteer efforts.


Accomplishments & Community Involvement

• Connect over 200 members of the Seacoast community who enjoy the athletics and sport lifestyle of rugby.
  
  
• Welcomed the Australian crew of the HMB Endeavour, a replica of Captain Cook’s famous tall ship, with a well-fought rugby match and celebration.  Members of the team also volunteered as crew members on the ship for the arrival in Portsmouth Harbor.
  
  
• Volunteered and worked with the Piscataqua Maritime Commission to fully staff the welcome receptions for the HMB Endeavour and the Pride of Baltimore II tall ships.
  
  
• Volunteered for the American Diabetes Association 2001 & 2002 Tour De Cure in Portsmouth, NH and Gloucester, MA.
  
  
• Participate in the annual Market Square Day in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
  
  
• Helped two members of the women’s side qualify for and participate on the Northeast Rugby Union All-Star team in the USA Rugby National All-Star Championships in Florida.
  
  
• Compete in rugby tournaments all over New England & the East Coast, including Washington, D.C., Georgia, Canada and the Cayman Islands, providing Seacoast Rugby Club and its sponsors with local, regional and national exposure.
  
  
• Seacoast Men accolades:  competed in the Northeast Championship Regional Final Four in Pittsfield, MA in 2000; Division 3 Metro Conference Champions in 2000; competed in the NERFU Final Four in Albany, New York in 2002, 2003 and 2004. 2005 & 2006 Bull Moose Champions. 2007 NERFU Club Champions. Qualified for 2008 NRU Final 4.
  
  
• Seacoast Women Accolades: Undefeated Fall 2005 Season, 2006 #5 in the Nation for Division 2.
  
  
• Promote local sponsors on a national level through season matches and community events, as well as regional and national rugby tournaments.
  
  
• Featured in a short special on rugby televised on CNN, appeared in a commercial for Anthem BCBS of NH, article in Our Times Magazine, Seacoast Newspapers.
  
  
• 501(c3) non-profit status established July of 2004.
